As the film title suggests, Adek Ku is a story about two brothers – Suhaimi, a swinging bachelor who frequents a dance hall in Singapore for its star performer Rose, and his elder brother, an honest proprietor of a sawmill in the Peninsula. Suhaimi is asked to return home and offered a supervisory position in his brother’s company. Suhaimi integrates himself well at home and at the sawmill. He soon falls in love and marries Aminah, the woman whom Suhaimi’s brother loves too but graciously gives up. The amicable mood at the sawmill is disrupted when Rose comes visiting, apparently with a malicious motive in mind.
